MY OTHER HALF.
I’ve always seen the fig as a fruit apart. Closed, it resembles a starry sky, a piece of the cosmos held in the hand. Opened, it brings me back to the Earth split in two: outside the ocean, inside the fire, life, everything still waiting to be born.
This collection speaks to that moment, just before things take shape. A shared fig is a bit like a parent giving away a part of themselves, their vitality and their promise, to the child who is coming.
That’s why I called it My Other Half.
Premium exotic wood baton, sourced and reclaimed, hand-sanded. Length cut to the format.
Wooden pegs on the sides, natural finish.
Two nails, delivered in a folded envelope.
Print on 100% natural linen, hand-hemmed, signed on the back.
Prepare the print
- Unroll the textile on a flat surface.
- Slide the baton into the top hem.
- Align the dowels at the ends.
Hang it on the wall
- Mark two points the width of the baton apart.
- Drive the two nails at eye level.
- Rest the baton, adjust.
Through the seasons
- Dust with a soft brush.
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Do not wash with water.
